On Saturday 4/28/18, I hiked the Chicago Lakes Trail in the Mt. Evans area.
In the first picture, yes there actually are two lakes up there, this is the 2nd Chicago Lake, the second picture just shows how big some of the rocks are, the third reminds us there is always more to climb come summer and the last, well it is just a majestic rock wall.
The 9.5 mile hike is a real test as the first mile is down, then up and up and up. On the way back, there are 3.5 miles down and then the final mile is up after you are already tired and looking forward to be finished. This time of year, there is still quite a bit of snow on the upper trail, but the trail is fairly packed and passable.
Fun day to enjoy Gods world.

Best wishes for a fabulous adventure.
